D8B record enable to HDR

Postby geddydawg » Mon Oct 20, 2014 3:04 pm

Hi Folks,
I recently took out the CMOS battery of the d8b, as it was having issues. When placing it back in, I ran thru the steps to reset the CMOS setting for the 300 (not the 166), as I have a 300 setup. I thought I went over the CMOS settings with a fine tooth comb many many times over, and I seem to be missing something. With all set from the documentation, I seem to be able to Record Enable from the d8b to the HDR, the first 16 tracks without issue, but when trying to enable 17-24, no activation on the HDR. To be sure, I went over the 300 instructions again and again. I seem to be missing something somewhere. Anyone have any thoughts?

Man, you know how to party. Did your other issue ever clear up? Just for fun, have you checked the BIOS on the HDR? Reset MIDI cards and cables? Checked out the MIDI device ID numbers per card slot? How is the battery in the HDR?

Oh yes.. when I do something, I do it right! haha.
I did check the cmos setting on the HDR as well, after replacing the battery. According to the sheets, all is set correctly...
and no, the other issue is still standing.

I wish I were of more help on your issues but I am just not sure what else I can offer via the written word to get you up and running, other than what I have already offered. I hate to admit defeat.....

Hey geddydawg;

It sure sounds MIDI Device ID's to me, as Crash has said.

Check them again just to to make sure!

Sounds like your 17 - 24 card needs re- seating to me.
