V pots and faders not responding correctly

Postby Drowningfishstudio1 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 11:34 pm

Hi, hopefully someone can help me. I have a D8B that the vpots are not responding at all. Not on the surface nor in the box. Also when I touch the faders they snap to unity and stay there. I've reformatted and reloaded the OS, changed out the data cable, reseated most of the ribbons in the board. After I did all this it worked fine for a quick test, shut down and rebooted one more time and it worked fine. Then I pulled the console back off my desk to put the back cover back on, hooked everything back up, and same problem all over again. Please help! Thank you!

I would be tempted to look over the power cables inside the console. These have been known to cause odd anomolies with the console.

After all that I've done, that I previously posted, it started working again. However, there was crazy noise at times sporatically and would go away after a reboot. So check for bad power ribbons? The connections themselves look good.
