Swapping d8b drive

Postby tdowns777 » Thu Dec 26, 2013 4:47 am

I think I need to change the drive in my d8b's cpu. Is it possible to take the old drive out, (it hasn't gone dead yet but seems to be on the way) have that drive mirrored and then just replace it with the mirrored drive? And if that's possible would the o.s. and the plug-ins etc. still all work without having to reload everything from floppy disks and getting the authentication codes?
Thanks

Re install software on afresh drive. once you have changed the hard disk you have to re-authorize all plugins and OS5.1. I dont agree with mirroring because if there is a glitch in the software you are going to carry it over to the new drive. I did this...not hard to do it. Do not forget to read the HD section on the database before you do the install. You need to format the HD.
If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants........
