@Bezze

All you need is a functioning mixer console AND a power supply. You can use the original power supply or make your own.

Make sure your mixer console has both dsp & brain card installed & functioning otherwise you wont be able to load up the Probox firmware on your mixer.

Thats it.

Okay, thanks for the quick answer. I´m awaitng answer from the seller and hopefully everything is fine.
Am i right in that the board won't work at all without the brain card?

If i understand it correctly, if you have the MCU protocol in DP you should be fine.

Yes, I can set DP's control surface to Mackie Control, so I should be good to go with D8B/ProBox/DP/Mac, right? I just want to confirm.

Thanks!

Hi All

Yes you need a 100% functional d8b console and the Psu (original or self made).
You do not need the CPU in the CPU/Psu part.you can disconnect that.
When you replace the computer powersupply by a fanless
12v supply then you have a fanless controller. Silent.
I have posted how to do that.

The probox supports Linux, Windows (xp and 7, 32 and 64bit) and macOS.
Logic and Mackie protocol is supported. Hui will be released later.

Except protools everything is supported that is also covered by the
Original Mackie mcu Pro.

Best regards

Munk and friends,

I'm very interested to hear some feedback from users! Is the Probox still in Beta test or are you now taking sales orders? Thanks!

Hello Munk,

Today, I finally got to sit down and read about your Probox.

My DAW is Reaper with Klinke. I do not expect you be familiar with this but in the past Reaper needed help with the MCU.

So here is the information on it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/202 ... manual.pdf

I have a perfectly working d8b with version 3 on it. I use it on sessions now, with Reaper fader control through MIDI, but that's it. I am thinking about using the Probox with Reaper and the working console together. I know bitSync has a little A/B box that may work. What do you think? Based on my needs, would I qualify as one of your customers and would it work with Reaper based on the Klinke reading I mention above?

I would love to have my cake and eat it too. Having full control over the original working board then switch over to the DAWs with a push of a button on the console. How's that for a dream? I was originally going for HUI control with 5.1, but as you know no authorization code. Anyway, I would like to hear what you have to say.

Thanks!
