You have to use apogee clock cards in both your d8b's to get it right. The stock card can't recive any worldclock .

Hi BOSS,

Thanks for your help. In fact both my d8b's are equipped with the APOGEE CLK cards and the method you mentioned earlier on works great for me. Money saved as well since now i dont need a clock generator thanks to you ;)

Best regards mate

Carlo

You don't need this device to connect this things together.
I have 2 d8b's with 4 x motu 2408 mk3 and a motu mtp.

You need two apogee sync card.

1 set your daw as master.
2 connect your first d8b sync in on apogee card to sync out on your motu card.
3 set first d8b to word clock in.
4 connect first d8b word clock out to apogee world clock in on d8b 2.
5 set d8b 2 to worldclock in.
Set your d8b's to sync sample rates in options.
REMEMBER to always boot up your d8b's first.
After fully boot start the motu interface.

Good luck ;)

Hey Boss,

IT works! but i have an issue. On my second d8b i have an OPT8 - DIO8 - DIO8 cards configuration. On the first bank the sync seems ok but on the 2nd and 3rd bank i get a popping sound and an infrequent peak signal on the meter bridge. Is it possible that the DIO8 is not getting enough sync? Shall i swap them with other OPT8 cards? My first d8b has 3x OPT8 cards. I was going to change 2 of them with the 2nd d8b DIO8's. What do you think pls?

Hi

Check your opto cables.... This is not a stabil connection type. Just re connect or try others.

.... Do not use too long opto cables and do not bend. Remember it's opto... If you can use tdif format... :)

I find that a strange comment. The data travels at the speed of light. You'd be hard pressed to be worried about the length of the cable... and they are surprisingly flexible.

Hi Peter,

nice to read you posting.
Any chance to get another song like "Rainy Night Again" from you ?
There´s no such forum for the DM2000, that I´m on now and so I come back from time to time - became addicted, I think.

So, have a good time

Manfred.
