Postby Salrus » Thu Feb 05, 2015 1:54 am

i know mackie wants the "ATI Radeon 7000" but i see that comes some models with DVI my question does the DVI port work in OS3 if i get a model that has that "feature" as to be fair theres nothing wrong with my video card i just would love a DVI out (so i can use modern monitors my VGA monitor is dieing and i have a few spare DVI ones)
and i see models like This
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-GX260-ATI- ... 27f7d9db32

and
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-7000 ... 3aa17ad939

now also looking more into both the ATI Radeon 7000 and the 7200 and later the 7500 use the ATI RV100 Chip could one put say this unit in and use dvi

It took me about 3 minutes to decipher this post. Next time, try some basic punctuation like periods at the end of sentences, commas, semicolons...etc.

If I get what you're saying, you'd like to use monitors that are DVI connector equipped only? If that's the case, why not simply use a VGA to DVI adapter to do the job? You can get those things here.

I bought a card with both dvi and vga out, also because I wanted to try the dvi.
IIRC the dvi works, but only under 5.1
However, there was a bit of problem with not too much space to attach the dvi-cable on the back of the CPU unit.
