Authorization Codes 5.1

Postby Phil.c » Thu May 21, 2015 8:46 am

A couple of my plugins are not loading and causing my D8b to freeze, looking at Mackies Plugins Database I did'nt realise that if I re-install the Service Pack that my original codes would not work again and new ones would have to be applied for, is there a way around this as I don't think Mackie is interested in issuing these new codes?

Can you still do it through there web page? It still exists. The only one I believe you cannot get is the 5.1 upgrade.

It seems rediculous to me that new codes have to be sought when re-loading the plugins?

It does to me too.

I'm pretty sure that the old authorization codes should work on a reload of the software, as they're tied to the brain board in your d8b.

Gents;

If you contact Mackie Support, supply then with the ESN of your d8b they will send you the codes. These have been stored on a separate server from the codes for 5.0 & 5.1. It didn't crash.

They are generally very quick to get back to you.

Hope that helps.

But is there a need to do that, is it definate that the original codes won't work after a reload?

Hope this helps.
