I hope not to do something unpleasant, place the link of the facebook group I have created, for the collection of people who have an interest in a new software for D8B.

More people sign up, the more likely that I create a new release.

I DO NOT WANT TO STEAL USERS FROM THIS FORUM, but I need a number of members to start the project.
If the number is not there, I can not leave.

The forum of reference should remain that.

I will explain this thing at the right time, I can not say any more for now.

I intend to do the software much more versatile than today, I want to fix bugs, maybe bring on Windows (with economic upgrade of hardware), add a serious DAW support, support for a optional touch screen, revolutionize everything, and increase what users ask, exactly how I did it with the Mackie DXB now can do the race (and win) with mixer costing as a house.

having a windows based system and a modern mother board plus VST plugins is the epitome.

Keep up the good work. I think that there is going to be a cost to get this software ones it is ready. Isn't it?

Hi
I am the probox developer. Yes the probox is less than 1mbyte.
Its about 350kbyte.
And Yes it is a simple midi to serial converter, but on the TOP on that
It was necessary to make a USB Midi implementation and a real
Time processing on the Top of it. Its a solution that runs with All
Operating Systems on the market and with All DAWs.

During my development i found out that every daw company
Implements and handles the mcu protocol a little different.
That was the main reason why it took 3 months more than expected to bring the
Probox to a sellable status.
The probox is not comercial. I have to take money For the Box,
Because it is a piece of hardware that needs to be assembled and bought
By myself.

Contacting Marc is the same as if you want to have a dinner with
The us president.

There is a lot if Information about the console protocol on the internet.
Just use Google, you do not have to debug it. I had to debug the LEDs commands.
Contact me, i am willing to share the protocol if i get your audio protocol

You always have to send the firmware. Only some very limited commands
Like display and some buttons are accessable with th console bootloader.

Hi Audioman;

At this point I do not have a facebook page and would rather not (old and do not see the advantage), but I am interested in what you are doing as I am stuck with Version 3.0 and believe the console is capable of so much more.

Thanks for your efforts and interest in doing this. I'll be watching and waiting to see how things progress.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi
What i dont understand.
When i read your postings it sounds to me, that you want to
Make your solution open source And free for everyone.
Why do you need a number of people on your Facebook
To start your development? Or do you want to check the market?
I started to develop the probox to have a solution For me.
I did it to have it For me and i showed my results here on the forum.
As many people here wanted to have a probox i build and sold it
To the people here.
Some people here also asked for an audio version of the probox,
But i am not able to sniff the protocol as i do not own a d8b.
I can imagine that we can work together For a Full Mackie Os, but
I want to stay on the probox platform and no other Os.
The reason is because it will be Os platform independent, Abs you will
Not have the realtime issue of Windows on the serial interface
. You will not be able to get the Meterbridge running 100% in realtime on Windows.
The serial connection will make you mad except you are a really good Windows developer.
Contact me, i wait for you.
