How is this page not adequate for all you suggest?

Hi Pete it is, but just thought it would be good to have all the same sort of information under one header, as a dedicated topic, make life easer looking for it, nothing more than that really just an idea to get more people/members interested/chatting

Things have eased off quite a bit with the forum, after all the D8b is now 110 years old :)....but still one of the best pieces of kit out there's.

I think the previous suggestions are good as things are needed to keep the forum alive and kicking.

Members studios section will show how we all work and also the gear we use, this could cause a lot of interest, also what music we are working on and how we go about it and again what gear is used. Great also for newbies!

Tricks like fattening sound etc, special effects, the best way to record instruments and vocals...again should make a lot of interest and hopefully generate news members.

Just my two pence worth!

Thats the spirit phil ;) ...

there is so much information that could be gained here "fattening sound etc" im intrested in,
esp now im doing brass section parts.
( can i send you a link phil ? im very intrested if this fattening would make a difference)
Also we could open a section on the D8B plugins as there is very little information out there on any of them,
for eg.....
i love the final mix, just that alone i have loads of questions..
is it better to add drums by them selfs through 1 chan or is it ok to have a mix of stuff on the 1 aux,
settings other than the presets,
settings for individual instruments.
is it better used on the overall final mix,or during tracking/mixing
best setting for use to send to radio for broardcasting, undercompressing for radio use, max level, standards.
how to get the best stereo field, what where, how much
bla bla bla
( please dont answer now, )
but on just that piece of software alone could open up all sorts of doors im sure.
In the recording section we could open a sub forum called "Plugins" that then divided into sub sections for each plugin starting with a link to the software PDF for ref, which would help tremendously.
it could thinking about it grow quite big....ow ...more work....sorry Peter (su) ;)

The possibilities are endless, whether they bring new members is another thing as there are so many music/recording forums out there, the other thing is like you say...more work for Peter :o

By all means send me a link to your project.
