It should say, "Loading Disk 1" and bypass boot up?

I know that the Floppy Drive is working so that can't be the problem and the files are definately on the new disks?

I know that you did but I still have to ask if you extracted the files before putting them on the floppies?

That makes sense :?

I have extracted the files to floppy's however..the first copied ok, the second and third had a "Disk error on track 0. head 0Address mark not found" problem? I "Ignored" it and still did the copies, the first disk loads but not the second?

Well, if you get an error, then it's quite possible that the floppy itself has gone bad, and you're out of luck.
Do you have another floppy to try?

I was under the impression that when a v5.1 re-load was done that the authorization code had to be re-entered as it would revert to a demo mode and only work for I think 7 minutes...not so, as I have had it running for 30mins without it stopping and asking for the code?

Mike, (Old School) It's Recording Drummer back again. I hope all is well with you guys. So a 5.1 Hack!!!!! Finally! I think the last time I was on the forum we were scratching our heads. I'm going to look for this on eBay. I have Pro Tools now, graduated from Reaper. Reaper was great but here in NY everybody has Pro Tools so to keep up with the Jones' LOL! Anyway I like to know if you are still running smooth with 5.1 and how is the HUI going? Great to be back guys. BTW - I added an ADAT HD to my collection. I literally was able to go back in time with my d8b. FUN!

Hey RC,
Good to hear from you again. My D8B is running great & my studio business seems to have exploded, more than I can handle. So, no complaints here.

Have a blessed day in Christ,
Mike W.

Great to hear that Mike! I have to study what was done and wrap my head around getting the Mackie to 5.1. With all the other business activities I am involved in, time is not abundant and I can't make a mistake with this. I saw posts that the forum cracked this and I am about to read into it and see if the crack works for me. Any advise on how to approach this crack without "breaking" the d8b. Still it's a great recording device!
