hack your own ESN into the control.asc

search in the control.asc (the hacked one) the following lines:

ZZZ40030AZ1D5EEFZ40030AZ1D5F7FZ40030AZ1D5F7FZ40030
AZ1D5F7FZ806AC0Z1D8F5FZZZ40030AZ1D5F7FZ40031AZ1D5F7FZ40045AZ1D5F7FZ40036
AZ1D5F7FZ806AB0Z1D8F5FZZZ40035AZ1D5F7FZ40032AZ1D5F7FZ40038AZ1D5F7FZ40038A

exchange the bold numbers with the ASCII hex of your ESN that you want to program
in this case 0000 01E6 5288
30 = "0"
31 = "1"
45 = "E"

Thanks munk;

Even though I don't understand all of it, well most of it, thanks. I may look into it to see if I can do it!

I still owe you a few adult beverages!

Cheers
Bruce

So if i understand this correctly and thanks to you i do now. If i hack my own ESN number into the ASC file, then all of the registered plugins that i have authorization codes for, (all of them) under that ESN # should work yes?

Thanks

RJ

Going further with that concept, if i buy a used d8b running version 3, i can load version 5.1, hack my own ESN from the working good console and load all of my registered plugins on the new used console. 2 d8b's ganged together, synced up and running 5.1 with all plugins. How sweet the sound.
