Not so many on here as there was...and also when the old Mackie forum was running, but still a few oldies left :)

Ha Bruce

I just checked the faders with the channel motors off and tried it on to just to make sure. Still no fader movement when I change banks like you said I should hear something always have but now nothing. Also I recorded just a peace of vocal just to see what was working it recorded ok but when I played with the vocal chanal I could not raise or lower the volum I just notice this with the volum the pans work the eq works and the trim works. I just can't just the volum on head phone or the chanals or the control room speaker or the main speaker. I think I will go back into the board maybe I over looked something I hope that's all it is anyway.

Hey Phil;

The title of this thread also works as a theme for us "old Guys"

"Brain Board Card[board].

BTW, Phil, when you think of it, these youngsters haven't seen the change that us old farts have seen.

Think about it, we where around of the birth of........
- the Modern Electric Guitars!
- Multi track recording ( 2 tracks) Look at it now! How many tracks do you want?
- Stereo!
- The birth of Quad sound (whatever happened to that?)
- Digital delay?
- A console that had faders and not Pots!
- Recording consoles (rather than cascading consoles)
- Digital recording on Tape (What's tape?)
- Completely digital everything?
- Computers that we could have at home!
- Pakman!
- Guitar effects pedals! It all started with Les Paul and his first looper!
- On, and on......

What have the young folks seen that was re-invented from something old..... Cell phones??? maybe?

I wouldn't trade the changes I have seen, and the "times" I went through, and the experiences I have been a part of... for anything!!

What a life!

Cheers
Bruce
