I am wondering if anyone else has noticed, or knows why for channels 13 -24 inputs I seem to have to cealing out the trim knobs in order to get a decent input level?

Not sure what you mean but 13 - 24 don't have mic preamps, only line level.

I think you just answered my question... I need to make sure I am always running through a separate pre amp on those channels.
