Heh, same here :-)
Though in all honesty, I haven't experienced it either (that I was aware of).
However, I have seen bigger caps on pcb's (particularly in power supplies) having either glue or foam pads between them and the pcb - to me it looked like vibration dampening, but it's possible that I'm wrong.

Anyways, back to the point:
Something in the switching powersupply is humming, and it's not the transformer.

Is there a bee in there ? Or maybe it's humming because it doesn't know the words... :)

Ok, tried excorcising that bee.
Turns out that the anti-bee chemical had a pretty bad effect on the motherboard....

Anyway, thanks for a good laugh ;-)
