DOW CORNING ADHESIVE

Postby Carlo » Sat Aug 06, 2016 9:40 am

Dear All,

I would like to put some adhesive to the ribbon cable that connects the power distributor to the card cage. Do you know what is the number of the non corrosive DOW CORNING? Someone mentioned DOW CORNING 739.

Thanks for your help

Here ya go, Carlo... Dow-Corning 839 Sealant... I've used this inside my own console, highly recommended. Keep in mind, I've found it can be a downright PITA to find, tho...

Hope this was helpful...

Cheers mate. Doktor, has this improved your issue of the freezing d8b or any other issues related to loss of sync?

regards

I've never experienced the 'freezing' issue, however this has drastically reduced any maintenance involved for me. I actually haven't had to open the console since... the CPU on the other hand... (LOL) :D
