I am very saddened to hear of Eric's passing. Though I have not been involved in music for a while, and therefore had not dealt with him, this is still sad news!!

Hi guys, haven't been to the forum in quite a while but I'm a long time D8B/HDR owner. I was just visiting the forum on a whim to see what's going on and saw this post about Eric. Very sorry to see this... Eric was a really nice guy, I had many dealings with him and he was always so helpful. Even when I was a noob to my system and had to "bother" him a few times he was always helpful and patient. A lot of my components and spares were purchased from Eric, I'm really saddened to hear of his passing ;-(

I was doing business with him many times from eBay.
He was a very kind and friendly person.
All my condolences to his family and the entire D8B community.
REST IN PEACE.
For those about to rock (we salute you).
