Thanks for that bit of info.

I shot Alps a email letting them know what I need, or if they might be able to point me in the right direction on what could be used to do a rebuild on our old faders. Not expecting to much info, but it is worth a shot.

When you have your faders out, let me know the part number please.

I forgot to write it down and I don't want to pull my console apart again.

I have a lady at alps that is going to cross reference what current faders we can use for parts to rebuild the ones used in the d8b.

They don't make that model anymore. I have eight new spares and I sometimes consider selling them then, I back off. They are very good quality and fortunately, I haven't had a problem. When I dig out the box they're in, I'll post the model. They were worth about $50 odd a while back, I think.

I understand they don't make them. But the pcb inside was used for more then just that fader, same with the brush sled.

Why we are finding compatible faders to use the internal parts.

Unless the bamd os broken or motor is shot. The rest should be able to be rebuilt.

Munkustrap once recommended me to buy these fader as a replacement for the ones on the d8b:

I never did so I can't confirm they work.

They are exactly the same, I already replaced a few long ago.
