Controls are not responding

Postby painfilter » Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:47 pm

Hello to all,

Im new here and couldn't find any existing topic over the search function.
My D8B is behaving very strange recently. After booting up (what seems pretty normal as usual) none of the controls like main volume, pan etc. are working. The LED's are not changing and the GUI on the screen is also not affected.
When I play Audio the Meters are responding but I cant hear anything out from the speakers.
I have absolutely no Idea what to do and checked everything twice. Either Im just to stupid or something completely whacky is happening here...

If someone has any tips, hints or a solution I would be very glad!

Thankyou and greetings from Hamburg,

Jan

This could be associated with the data cable running between the desk and the CPU unit. Pull that at both ends and re-insert it making sure the connections are tight. Other than that, it could be internal. Here is a post addressing one particular ribbon cable running from the power distribution card inside the desk to the DSP card but all of the cables running from that board should be checked at both ends for continuity. It's a start. :)

In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.
