A New Tune

Postby Crash » Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:03 pm

Here is a litte tune we finished a couple of weeks ago if you are interested. This was all done at my place with the exception of the keys which were tracked in Scotland and the bass guitar which was tracked in Boston Mass. via the wonders of Dropbox. This allowed me to post all of the multis for the other players to do their bit, one of which works in Logic and the other with Reaper. The tune was done totally ass backwards, as in we started with an acoustic and a vocal and then the ideas started flying...next thing you know we are tracking parts all over the place. I typically like to cut as a band and really I can't think of a time I have done a tune in this fashion, as in the "upside down pyramid approach" as I have come to refer to it as. Anyway, this is one of four we are hacking away at... Anyway, I hadn't posted anything in a bit so thought I would share just for giggles.

Thanks gents, hope you enjoyed it. This is about as far away as the heavy metal fiesta I am about to undertake in the next few weeks. I am getting ready to mix a metal band that I had originally worked with back in '91. I am working with them again on 6 new tunes. Depending how that comes out, I will share...if you can take it. It will be a chunkfest.
