Hi Peter;

Could you post the link to the Mackie site where this is please? I just tried to authorise my Cards (not the 5.1 software), and it told me the server was down!

Not sure if I have the right code authorization part of the site.

When you can!

Thanks
Bruce

You have to go to: http://my.mackie.com/profile/member.asp?t=rp

You will be asked for your email address and password. If you haven't registered previously then you will have to do so. I've forgotten which email address and password I had with them.

I tried following the link to register Mono Delay or T.C. Electronic and I get a server error. Anyone else having trouble accessing that page?

I am also having trouble setting up an account with Mackie as "d8b" is not an available choice even in the discontinued drop-down menu.

Gave up on getting codes from the website. I called Mackie and they were able to give me the codes for the plugins. I was also told they can no longer generate codes for 5.1 so I will not be able to upgrade from V3.

Hi folks,
Maybe a quick summary for those that started reading this thread lately:
You will NOT get 5.1 auth codes from Mackie!
If you want to use 5.1 on your desk, you will have to hack it somehow. There is no software hack available yet.
However, if you know someone who will share his working code with you, there is now a hardware modification available. You can find more details on this throughout this thread.
The attached ZIP contains a PDF that shows some details as of what has to be done to your brainboard.

Excellent work maxcz! I presume you'll let us know the details of when and how we can get the chip. BTW I'm the one who identified U16 (Ds2401) as the location of the ESN :-)

Yes, good work finding this u16!
If you want a chip you must provide me with any ESN you have auth codes to. Don't forget that this includes plugin codes! I will program the ESN into the chip and mail it to you.
If you need more details please contact me by pm.
