I would ask, who was able to copy the EPROM?
I think in the EPROM is stored only the boot program of brainboard.
I do not think any code to be written to this chip.
What's more I myself have a problem with my brainboard, and after performing various tests, it appears to me corrupt eprom.

someone who has been able to copy the EPROM has the file to record another?

Thanks

Hello friends, I have the problem resolved.
The problem was, in the EPROM of brainboard peak voltage I corrupted half the startup program the EPROM, once got the file with an engraver of eproms and I managed to create a new eprom, which once installed on the brainboard everything works perfectly.

Maxcz. Can I send you the brainboard for my console to have you modification performed. I had to install a replacement board from a console I bought for spare parts last week and of course I can't authorize the Mackie 5.1 OS. Please send me your contact information. I have two D8B's but I'm only going to fix one right now. I'm holding out for Marc's D8Bridge to use the other.

Hello everyone, just joined this forum. I wish I had found this forum before I purchased my d8b. I bought my d8b from a local church before doing enough research. The CPU had a dead battery so it would not boot. After replacing the battery and setting the BIOS everything boots fine except the plugins are not unlocked. The board has two MFX and two UFX cards installed and even the free plugins are locked. There is no documentation with my board and no box ids or codes so I cannot unlock anything. The board is V3 and I had hoped to upgrade to 5.1 and unlock all the plugins but it looks like that will not be possible through Mackie. Perhaps soon there will be a fix for those of us who like the board and want to use all the options.

Have you asked the church for the codes?

Yes I have asked for the codes but they can't seem to find any of the documentation or codes.

I did post this but it seems to have gone missing.

The request codes for the MFX are 0000-0000-0000.

TC reverb is 1111-1111-1111

Because you have 2 MFX cards, the Vocal Studio is unlocked.

It's a start.

Thanks, I did try those codes but they still show locked after a reboot. When the board boots I see the cards show in the display. Slot 1 MFX, Slot UFX, Slot 3 UFX, Slot 4 MFX. Does it matter what order the cards are in?

No, you don't understand. You need to go to the Mackie site and request unlock codes using your ESN and punching in the request codes above. You will then be given the 12 digit hex codes to enter into your d8b to at least unlock the ones I have mentioned above. You might want to also send an email to Mackie Tech support, quoting your ESN number and have them check which plugs are authorised for your d8b. They will supply the codes except for OS 5.1 which is a nightmare because their generator is kaput.
