I have a D8B that I have been very happy with other than it has been

You aren't going to find a new one. As I recall, those particular cables were made in house. It shouldn't be too difficult to create something that will work. I would consider soldering on one wire per pin if I were in your situation.

That would be a good route to go as well. Best of luck and welcome to the forum by the way.

Welcome to the forum.

Spares are indeed getting more difficult to find. But if you put a saved search out on ebay you will see the occasional d8b pop up that someone has disassembled and is parting out.

Get the attention of Eric Russ... (topganoeric @ aol.com). I'd bet the mortgage he'd be able to provide that cable (and just about anything else you'd need)... I've purchased everything from BIOS chips to the D8B 'trim' (the armrest & two side panels)... he's a GREAT source for parts (D8B & HDR/MDR/SDR)...

Oh, and welcome aboard Brutha... keep this forum posted on your progress... ;-)

Peace

Frank, I believe he is talking about those funky power cables, not the usual ribbon animals. I am sure you can find the stuff to make one but not a pre made.

I forgot about Eric. That is yet another avenue.

Frank, what Im looking for is similiar, but none of that will work for what I need. I didnt think about Eric. I got all my effects from him a few years ago. Thanks, Ill try him.
