Thanks for help all. I tried to get to BIOS holding the delete key, but no luck. I will try to reseat everything tomorrow. BTW, to reset CMOS you move the blue jumper (new mobo), disconnect power cord, wait 5-10 minutes and move the jumper back?

I have never "reset" the bios. Usually they get wonky when the battery on the motherboard dies and after a battery replacement I just go in and correct what is wrong and save.

Thanks to all for advice. All the cards were reseated, connections reconnected, but no luck. I got no idea what to do next :(

You can always send it S&X audio and they can get it back on its' feet for you. Their contact and address info. is on the site here somewhere.

Are you sure the monitor itself didn't die? I am grasping at straws here but you never know.

You are assuming that there is something wrong with the console. Sounds to me like the VGA card in the computer s**t the bed. It would work until the driver needs to install with the OS. Your two possibilities could be that the VGA driver is bad or the video card in the PSU is bad. I would start there.

The monitor is fine, I suspect the video card as well.. I don't think I will come to the end of this on my own. I will contact S&X audio next, thanks for the tip :D

Before you send it off, it might be worth sourcing a Radeon ATI 7000 video card and see if that gets you back on the road. I have to wonder if the RAM could be wonky as another possible culprit. Best of luck getting this all sorted and share the fix when you find it.

One more vote for the RAM, it has happened to me in the past.

No, it was not the RAM. Tried matching modules, original ones, combined... Screen remains blank. I will try to get my hands on ATI 7K next.

Update on my "black screen" D8B - unfortunately no progress. I went back to fixing it after few months of work on other projects. After replacing the gphx card, the screen remains black :S

Would ProBox solve my problem, or does it need a fully functional PSU?

I wish I could determine what the problem with my desk is, so I could look for replacement parts.
