As you all are waiting hard for your probox I want to give you a short update of the Status.

Tests under MacOS / Logic is finished (Thanks MrMister).

Logic Issue:
there is one strange issue with the fader resolution on logic that I have to solve. It seems so that logic uses only 90% of the fader Resolution. So it uses only 90% of the fader. I programmed a scaling for Logic, to get the full fader. that works. but unfortunately i found out thet it seems so that Logic uses 100% of the fader for midi tracks (then you get an Overflow with the scaling).

the Drivers work great and fast under MacOS.

Windows:
I had to go back to the old Windows Drivers as the new one is not working really stable (sometimes strange effects).
That means at the Moment we have to live here with small Windows bug. When opening a Project (in Cubase) the midi transmit (d8b to DAW) stucks. When you turn the jogwheel, the communication is back again after 1-5 seconds. From now on it works without problems for hours (I use this since about 6 weeks in my Studio in that way). functional the box is working great with cubase. Mac users are not affected by this as it's a Windows Driver issue.

I will fix now the functional Software with this old Windows Driver. The I will make a short try to go back to the new Driver and get it stable. If I do not fix that the box will be sold with this issue for Windows users (you can decide if you want to live with that). I also will make a Video of the issue, that you know what you have to expect.
But I WILL NOT GIVE UP to get the new Driver running, as it is a real benefit for Windows users (as I am :D )
A firmware update will come in this case.

So two issues are open at the moment

Can somebody who owns a real logic control (no mcu)
mail me the serial number and version number shown in the
Logic control setup?

Thanks

Hi All
Sorry For my late answer but i was on vacation and had no
Internet access.
At the moment I am building the hardware For All preorders, so that When you pay the Box it can be shipped immediately.

Fadercalibration and an issue on the meterbridge is open.
Hopefully i fix that this week.

Best regards
Ralph

Had me worried for a bit there Munk.... I was beginning to think there was some sort of curse on anyone trying to make a d8b controller.... Or perhaps Mackie had found a way to sabotage anyone trying to make the d8b useful again.....

Hope you enjoyed your vacation and am looking forward to using the ProBox.... Right after MixingMusic gets his of course....

:-)
